Topic: 1910 Census Lookup - Irwin, Roberts

I need some assistance locating two families through census index. The 1910 extract for probably Cherokee County for one family with a child by the name of George R Irwin who would have been about 17 years old (give or take a year). The 1920 Cherokee Census shows him as being born in Kansas and the only known brother is possibly a Roy Irwin about 6 years older. I am also looking for a second family with a child by the name of Myrtle Fern Roberts who would have been about 11 years old (give or take a year). The 1920 Cherokee Census shows her as being born in Missouri. If anybody can look these up for me and provide me with the page / line / enumeration district information, I can get the extract from Ancestry.com. Thanks.

I am trying to find out any information available on John W. Church, his wife, Maggie and their children, Charles F. Church, Fannie M. Church and Eva L. Church. I believe John is my g,g, grandfather. Charles moved to Benton Co. Arkansas, married there and raised his family there.

I am trying to confirm the fact that they are my relatives.

Looking for anyone that might have information on David C. Emberling and his wife Priscilla (Rhoades) that lived in Cherokee Co KA before 1880. David had one child born while living there. We believe his son (George W.) might have returned to this county after 1880 and lived there. Any help would be appreciated.

Topic: Alonzo Allen and Lillie Mae Crane
From: Brenda Pedersen brpedersen@sasktel.net
Date: Monday, November 11, 2002 10:06 AM

My gggrandfather is Alonzo "Lon" Allen, (born 10 Feb, 1855 in Cedar Co., MO, died 27 Aug 1917 in Cherokee, KS). He first married an unknown woman and had two daughters. His wife died of T.B. and on 12 Aug 1889 in Cherokee Co., KS, and he then married my gggrandmother Lillie Mae Crane (born 16 Mar 1864 in Warren Co., MO).
He brought his daughters from the first marriage into his second, but they unfortunately succumbed to T.B. as well. They are most likely buried in a cemetery in Cherokee county, but I've been unable to locate them.
I'm wondering if anyone has any information on either of Alonzo's marriages - I'd especially like to know who his first wife was and the names, etc of his children. If I knew where they were buried, I could order the death certificates which would name the mother.
I've been unable to find him in the 1880 census at all and don't have access to the 1890 census or index.

Alonzo and his family lived in Cherokee county for over 30 years, and he is buried in the Baxter Springs Cemetery. Apparently he is buried in another families plot in the Baxter Cemetery - this family apparently has no blood relation (but perhaps is his first wife's family??

Thanks in advance
