Topic: Marriage of Isabella FOWLER b. 1850 MO
From: Charlene Sparks ccs1101@aol.com
Date: Saturday, March 15, 2003 12:40 AM

I am seeking the marriage of Isabella FOWLER who was born 1850 in MO to John C. Fowler and Olivia Heath Fowler. John & Olivia Heath were in the next county over, in Newton Co., Granby Twp. MO in 1870 but Isabella was not with them so I assume she had married or died. I have not located her sister, Ellen Fowler Lewis (b. 1843 MO) who had married Cornelius Lewis in 1861 in Collin Co. TX.

This family moved all the time but seemed to stay together and I would really like to locate these two girls and I thought they may be in the next county from their parents. Any help would be really appreciated.

Charlene

I'm trying to find information on my grandmother's, father's side of the family, so that would be my great-grandfather. He lived in Galena, name was William Clifford Lewellyn, his fathers name was Oscar Hamilton Lewellyn, born: December 28, 1882 in Missouri, died: March 18, 1933. And he had a brother named William Columbus Lewellyn, born in 1883, and died in July 1904. That's all we know about that side of the family, and the only records of any Lewellyns I've been able to find have all turned up in Miami County. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I am searching for a burial site for ROSWELL HUNT MORGAN, who died in Lyon Township, Cherokee County, Kansas, in 1881. He was survived by his wife, Sophia Wilson Morgan.
She left the area following his death and removed to Savannah, Missouri.

I am hoping someone knows where Roswell, my great, great grandfather, is buried. It is unlikely that Sophia is with him as she went to live with a daughter after his death.

Thanks,
Kathy

Hello everyone. I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking for information on the Cherokee County Home. I was wondering what kind of facility it was (a hospital, nursing home, mental institution, etc.) and if it is still open?
I have a picture book from my great grandmother. I am trying to figure out who some of the people were in the book. The book contains pictures that were taken at the Home in the early 1930's. One of my relatives may have lived at this home. I am hoping to find records from the Home that may help me in my search. Any information is appreciated.

Thank You,
Jen Magers

Help, my relatives are missing!
Found in 1850 Greene County, Illinois census
Found 1860 Maucopin County, Illinois census
Found 1868 Montgomery County, Illinois marriage

William N. Finley m: Sarildia E. Wisdom August 12, 1868. I know they were in the St. Louis area in 1875, that is where my grandmother was born. She had a sister named Luella M. Finley born in Illinois in 1869, location unkown, and a brother named Oliver, born @1873, location unknown.
Sarildia E. Wisdom (aka: Zerilda E.; aka Jerilda E.) died in 1877, location unknown.
William has his aka's also; Findley and Finly. He served in the Civil War and enlisted in Montgomery County, Illinois.

William Finly is on the 1880 Cherokee County census with new wife Fada. (Maiden name?) Trying to locate birth and deaths. William died in 1882, but no death record has been found or location of his burial or of Sarildia. Where and when did he marry Fada?

Anyone who can help solve this abduction of my ancestors would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Darlene
