I would like to find out is anyone knows anything about my grandfather "William Cain Havens married to Margaret "Alice" Hamilton. They has 4 children, Wanda Madalein, Lois & Helen deceased at around 1 year of age, my dad William Jack Havens. Wm Cain left when my dad was 12 and was never heard from since. That would have been around 1931 as dad was born 12 3 1919 in Galena. I found where he had a fed draft card in 1917-1918, but can't locate that info and found that a Wm Cain was listed as being born in Mayes Ok, but nothing further.Dad married Jewell Deane Moore in 1940, they both passed in 2000 leaving a huge hole in my heart. I have so little info on his family and would love to find out ANYTHING about either of his folks. I don't even know his grandparents name on either side. I can recall as a child an Uncle Charlie, Aunt Hester, Uncle Henry but don't know whose side they were on. Alice remarried to a man named Gray and had dtr EmmaDean then remarried Clifton "Babe" Ritter. I am the second child of 5 born to Jack and Jewell and a 62 yo. Thanks for anything or any way to lead to more info.

From: teresa brazil tlbraz@yahoo.com
Date: Wednesday, April 12, 2006 04:44 AM
Looking for info on "Doc" D. Marcus White. His wife, Esther "Etta" Gowdy-White died in 1905 & I found her grave in the Cherokee city cemetery. Doc was a coal miner, and later ran the company store at Radley, KS.
The family lived in the Cherokeeadley area from late 1800's to around 1920. I cannot find a grave for "Doc" White in Cherokee, Pittsburg or Girard. Any suggestions where else I might check? I think he died around the Cherokeeadley area after 1920. His second marriage was to Ida ? White.
Doc White's oldest daughter, Edith married Frank Sparks and they lived in Radley, Ks in 1920 census. Had a son named Wayne. I know that Edith died young, but cannot locate them after 1920. Any info on Edith Sparks in an area cemetery?
I have some pictures of this family - my paternal grandmother's family - and would love to share info and pictures with others researching this family.
Other surnames (married into this family): Don Kennedy, Clarence Melvin Kennedy (Girard), Harry Kennedy.
Have been trying to complete this family puzzle since 2001. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Frank remarried between 1920 and 1930 to a lady named Pearl. I am trying to find out if anyone knows what her last name was and if she and Frank had children.
I know they moved to Oregon by 1930. I found Frank and Susan's sons vital statistics, but not Evelyn or Lena Mary Nicholas' whereabouts after 1930.
I would appreciate any assistance I can get on finding out.
