Funeral Services in the Presbyterian

Church at 3:30 Tomorrow After-

noon.  Conducted by Minister,

Rev. Fred Shaw.

  A. B. Lupher died this morning at 2 o’clock at the family home, 221 West Forth Street.  Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian church at 3:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Fred Shaw and burial will be made in Elmwood cemetery.

  Mr. Lupher is survived by his wife, seven children, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.  Four sons survive.  They are Sherman of Wellington; Alfred of Arnette, Okla.; Ernest of Amarillo, Tex.; and J. B. Lupher of this city.  The daughters are Mrs. T. H. Jackson of this city and Mrs. Andy Bodine and Mrs. Frank Burr of Arnette, Okla.

A Kansas Pioneer.

  Mr. Lupher settled in Kansas October 6, 1871, and has lived here almost continuously since.  The original homestead was a few miles east of the city.  Some sixteen years ago the family moved to the city and has resided here since.

  Mrs. Lupher has been in poor health for two years and has been confined to his home for the past six months.  Death was due to a general breakdown.

Civil War Veteran.

  Mr. Lupher served his country in the war of the rebellion in Company E, 63rd Pennsylvania Volunteers.  He always took an interest in the doings of the old soldiers and was an active member of the local Grand Army post as long as he was able to be around.

  Mr. Lupher was inclined to the Presbyterian faith and was a consistent church goer in his later life.  He was 84 years, 7 months and 24 days of age.
