DIED.

 

  Austin D. Strong died at the state hospital at Osawatomie, Kansas, Sunday, Feb. 17, 1907.  He has been a sufferer from epilepsy for several months.  He was born, Aug. 20, 1844, in Henry county, Ohio, removed to Missouri in 1871, and came to Waverly, Kansas, in 1884, where he lived until his removal to the hospital.  He enlisted in Co. F, 67th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and was discharged in April 1861, and in October, 1862 re-enlisted in Co. H, 86th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.  April 10, 1866, he was married to Martha E. Holmes at Madison, O.  To them were born two sons and two daughters, the girls dying during childhood in Missouri.  The wife and two sons survive.

  The remains were shipped here Monday and the funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon.  Interment in the Waverly cemetery.
