Obituary

 

  Daniel A. Graham died at his home in Elk Falls, Kansas, July 18, 1912, 3:20 a. m., age 71 years, 4 months and 10 days.  Mr. Graham was born in Wayne county, Illinois, March 8, 1841.

  He was converted at an early age and united with the Baptist church in Wayne county, Illinois.

  He was married to Mary E. Majors, December 3, 1865.  To this union seven children were born, three sons who live to mourn the loss of a beloved father.

  Mr. Graham had been in poor health for a number of years but bore his sufferings patiently until God in his wisdom saw it to call him home.

  At the age of 21 he enlisted in the Civil war where he served for two years in the 48th regiment of Company I. of Illinois.

  Mr. Graham with his family moved to Elk county in 1874, spending most of his time on his farm a few miles south of Elk Falls.

  Funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the M. E. church, July 19, 1912.  Text Rom. 5:1
