D. M. SLEETH.

  D. M. Sleeth was born near Londonery, Guernsey county, Ohio, December 17, 1843.  Graduated from Franklin college in 1871.  Attended Allegheny Theological Seminary, and in 1874 graduated from thence.  He was married to Martha J. Newlin in April 1873, near Bridgeport, Ohio.  They settled at Cairo, West Virginia where he remained pastor of that congregation for sixteen years, when he was removed to Zanesville, Ohio, to take charge of the United Presbyterian mission at that city, laboring there almost seven years.  In 1897, he was called to the United Presbyterian church of this city, which charge he held a little over ten years, when released on account of failing health.  He was stricken with paralysis April 10, 1908 of which he died, November 17th.  He leaves besides the wife; two daughters and a son.  Libbia May, married to Rev. J. P. Giffen of Emerson, Iowa; Mary Mabel, married to Delmar Esterquist of Red Oak, Iowa; Earle C. who is now located in Ottawa, Kansas and who with his wife, was a the bedside, at death.

  The funeral services were held this afternoon at two o’clock from the United Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. W. C. Adair, and interment was made in the Lyndon cemetery.
