UNCLE
JAMES KELLERMAN PASSES AWAY
Uncle Jas. Kellerman died at his
home in the west part of town Friday morning, December 1st at 1:12 o’clock,
and was buried in the cemetery at Cherry Mound Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Kellerman was in failing
health for several months, mostly due to his advanced age, he being nearly 74
years old. Early last week he became worse, and it was then evident that
the end was near. He was born in Bedford county, Pa., and in 1854 married
Mary Ann May, and to this union eight children were born. In 1862 he
enlisted in his country’s cause and served under Capt. May three years.
In 1873 he married Carrie Reihl who still survives. To this union three
sons, Charles, James and Jesse were born.
Mr. Kellerman and family have
resided here in the country north of town a number of years. He was a good
citizen and neighbor, a kind, loving husband and parent, and was always held in
the highest esteem. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Poole, of the
U. B. church. The bereaved family and friends have the sympathy of all.
