Obituary.

  John Hibbs was born in Fountain county, Ind., Sept. 28, 1845, and died at his home in Humboldt, Kans., April 19, 1913, aged 67 years, 6 months and 22 days.

  In 1861, he enlisted in Co. I, 40th Reg. Ind. Vol., and was honorably discharged at Texans, Texas, Dec. 21, 1865.

  He was united in marriage to Maria Broadbeat Sept. 24, 1871, and to this union were born seven children, five daughters and two sons, all of whom survive except one son, who died in infancy.  He is also survived by one brother and one sister who live in Indiana.

  Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock conducted by Rev. Geo. R. Lawellin and burial was in Mount Hope cemetery.
