OBITUARY.

  Theodore Williamson was born in Fairfield, Green county, Ohio, November 4, 1840, and died at Kanorado, Kansas, September 5, 1914.

  He moved to Blufton, Ind., in 1853.  In February, 1871, he was married to Martha G. Brown, his wife preceding him fourteen years ago.  To this union six children were born four of them going in infancy, and two daughters, Mrs. Aerie A. Williams, of Grand Forks,  B. C., and who was present and was a faithful attendant at the bedside of her father the last four months of his illness.  Another daughter is Mrs. Josie  B. Williams who resides in Goodland with her husband and family and who has given her father the best possible care.  There are nine grandchildren.  All were present at the funeral except three of the grandchildren who are in British Columbia.  A brother, W. C. Williamson of Kanorado and one niece, Grace A Oman also of that place, are left with the other relatives to mourn his departure.

  The deceased was a pioneer of this locality, having come to Kansas in 1886.

  Comrade Williamson was a member of Company B, 101st Indiana Infantry and an honored member of the G. A. R. Post at Kanorado.  He was twice wounded upon the battlefield at Gettysburg, at which place he had the opportunity of visiting during the recent Gettysburg reunion.

  The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Beuchamp of Colby, Kan., who took at his text: 2nd Tim., 2:3: “Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
