Obituary.

  Thomas Salkeld was born in Floyd county, Indiana, July 25, 1843.  He came to Missouri in 1856, and a little later came to Kansas.  He enlisted in the 2d Kansas light artillery August 28, 1862 and served a little less than three years.  He was married to Caroline Thompson on December 26, 1867 and settled on the farm where he has since resided.  Two sons and six daughters blessed his home, all of whom with his wife remain to mourn his departure.  He died May 17, 1910, aged 66 years, 9 months and 22 days.
