THOMAS LOMAN DEAD.

It is our sad duty to narrate the death of Thomas Loman an old settler and citizen of this county. He was born at Morgan, Virginia, in December 1820. He was married three times and the father of 4 children. Mrs. Nannie Bruner of Claremore, Indian Territory, is the only one living. He joined Co. E, 6th Kansas Cavalry March 7, 1862 and was a sergeant of the company. He was mustered out June 21, 1865.

Mr. Loman had been a resident of Miami county for fifty years and was 86 years old. He was a charter member of A. J. Smith Post 102 and assisted in its organization and at the time of his death was Post sergeant.

He died March 27, 1907, and the funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday, March 28, by Rev. W. H. Howard and the remains were laid to rest in the Fontana cemetery under the auspices of the G. A. R.
