DIES FROM FALL INTO A DITCH

Civil War Veteran and Owned

Large Mining Interest.

  Junction City, Kan., Nov. 6---W. W. Cook, 70 years old, a paving and railroad contractor of this state, died at his home here this morning as the results of injuries sustained in an accident at Concordia several weeks ago.  Mr. Cook was supervising one of his contracts there and fell into a deep ditch, receiving internal injuries.  He was a veteran of the Civil war and had large mining interests near Parral, Mexico.
