W. H. Linton Dead.

William Henry Linton died this morning at 9:10 at his home 716 Independence avenue.  He has been a sufferer from cancer for years and every known remedy had been applied without avail.  Mr. Linton was born in Gernsey, Ohio, on August 24, 1844, and at the time of his death was 71 years, and six months of age.  He is survived by his widow and three children, Mrs. J. C. Slaybaugh, and Francis and Henry, all of this city.

Mr. Linton was perhaps one of the best known men in this city and community.  For a number of years he was a prominent stock man and was also quite prominent in political circles.  He has lived in Cherryvale the past eighteen years.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor Rev. W. H. Mulvaney, and burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
