I am looking for any information about my POLLEY ancestors who resided in Clark County between 1880 and 1900. My Grandfather Charles J. POLLEY and Grandmother Ora E. HILL were married in Protection, Clark, Kansas in February 1896. I am looking for his parents namely, Jesse H. and Lucy POLLEY. We have tracked Jesse to Woodward Oklahoma by 1900 (census records) but have no idea what happened to Lucy. Did she die prior to their reaching Kansas or did she die in Clark County? Hopefully someone out there has the answers for me. Also any information on Ora's parents would be helpful as well. I think they also lived in the same area - names Marion G. and Mahala J. ADAMS, ELDER, WILKINSON

BuddAdams@aol.com November 18, 2002
I'm looking for anything pertaining to Thomas Franklin ADAMS, his wife
Laura ELDER who divorced him in 1886, his marriage in the same year I think to Georgia Ann WILKINSON, and any children who may be with him. He's not in the 1880 Census, as his children were too old, but he was a farmer probably and may have arrived as early as 1873. Letters in his service record place him in/near Ashland during the 1873-1886 period. This looks like the time of the cattle drives through this area to Dodge City or have I seen too many movies?
