KRIER

Margaret Baker January 24, 2006
Around 1952, at age 21, I met National Aerobatics Champion, Harold Krier, then age 31, of Ashland, Kansas. Some years later, by personal invitation, I attended "Harold Krier Day" at the Ashland Airport. As I recall there was a Banquet that evening and Congressman Bob Dole attended. At now age 74, with memory not as spry as desired, I am putting together some photos and memories of my youth for the family. I cannot remember the date of that "Day" that must have been sometime in the late 1950's or in early 1960's? I also later in the 1960's(?) attended an Airshow at Bolivar, Missouri where Harold and Charlie Hillard performed. I know that Harold died in a plane accident sometime? in 1971 but do not know the circumstances? It would be wonderful if you, or someone could help with this information!!

WALLACE

Mrs. Renea Dees December 4, 2006
I am desperately seeking any birth information on Charles William Wallace, born in 1886, in Clark County, Kansas. I have the information that he was born in Clark County due to his marriage cert. to Rosie Lee Montgomery in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. I need information on his parents and their birth dates. I have come to a wall with my tree and need some help finding the next generation.

I found on the 1895 Kansas Census that the were 310 people with the last name of Wallace in Kansas. There are 90 White males of age to sire children on the 1895 Kansas state Census.
On Ancestry.com there are three Charles Wallace's born in Kansas with the following info:
1. Thomas J. Wallace and Lucretia Wallace from Soldier, Shawnee, KS. son, est. birth year is 1867
2. William Wallace and Manera A. Wallace from Stafford, Stafford, KS. son, est. birth year 1880
3. W.R. Wallace and Elizabeth A. Wallace from Belle Plaine, Sumner, KS. son, est. birth year 1878.
After Charles is married he is listed on the Oklahoma Census of 1920 on sheet #3874, District #5. His parents are listed from MO. and he from KS. His occupation is a farm laborer. In a later Census of OK, his occupation is a fruit stand proprietor.
Any info will be of great help. I have not found additional generations on this tree in over 2 1/2 years of active searching. I have posted on most major free web site.
Thank you for your time.
