BEAL-CARPENTER--A family reunion was held July 1, 2001.

BECKER--A family reunion, of the descendants of the late W. H. Becker family, was held August 12, 2001 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Aliceville, KS.
"The 2002 reunion will be held at Sylvan Grove."

Descendants of Valentine Birk came from as far as Salt Lake City, Utah, to join in the Birk biennial family reunion held Aug. 4 at the Gridley Community Center in Gridley. Noah Kuebler, Topeka, was the youngest family member there; William McMullen, Burlington, was the oldest.
Ray Birk of Lansing gave the blessing, which was followed by a dinner brought by the attendees.
The family viewed genealogical items that were on display, including descendants’ charts of each family branch and a large chart showing 13 generations of ancestors. Family members updated the descendants’ lists, exchanged family information, and pictures were taken of each family group. Rich McReynolds of Topeka answered questions about the family’s history in Germany, Illinois and Kansas.
Those present for the reunion were Glenna and Mark Peterson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Phyllis Reimer, Hutchinson; William Levering, Greg, Dina, Jessica and Jonathon Vogel, Marion; Dana Loffland, Ruth and Carl Smock, Jake and Rachel Campbell, Wichita; Rich and Vickie McReynolds, Joshua, Ann, Jakob and Noah Kuebler, Topeka; Bonnie and Johanna Greer, Yates Center; John and Sandi Hageman, Olsburg, Ray and Carol Birk, Lansing; Larry, Linda, and Andrea Morrison, Nathon Carney, Iola; Julia M. Birk, Edwin Birk, Brenda Barnett, Nellie Birk, Alan and Janet Birk, Glenn and Carrie Birk, Frank and Nette Birk, Gridley; William and Helen McMullen, Linda Salava, Maurice and Frances McReynolds, Keith Birk, Tom, Marchella, Shawn and Bryson Birk, Burlington.
The family enjoyed visiting with each other, and participated in a white elephant gift and exchange. The next reunion will be Aug. 1, 2004.

BRADLEY--On Dec. 16, 2001, all of Opal Bradley's siblings and their spouses gathered at Beto Junction to celebrate Opal and Jay's 50th wedding anniversary, who were married December 23, 1951.

A good number of Castle relatives met at Kelley Hall June 9 for dinner and visiting.

The next reunion is planned for the second Sunday in June 2003.

On June 9 fifty descendants of Tell Albert and Mary Stahly Chatelain family met for a dinner at Burlington Senior Center.
Lots of catching up with families from last year and picture taking occurred.
