We are trying to learn all we can about my gggrandparents, James Melvin and Sarah Rebecca (Smith) Ross. According to our records Melvin died November 18, 1896 and Rebecca died August 6, 1895. They were both buried in Bird Cemetary in Pleasant View. Melvin had lived in Arcadia, Crawford Co. Any information about this couple would be valued.

Looking for information on surname: George from Crawford County. Entire family moved from Crawford county to Washington state, and ended up settling in Alberta Canada. Very likely many George ancestors, from other families still in the county. Family in question, their father was Norman George who died & should be buried somewhere in the county.

I am looking for Jacob F. Dale & Mariah. Jacob F. Dale died in Crawford County, KS 5/20/1876. Mariah (don't know her maiden name) died in Crawford County, Kansas 3/5/1879. Their children were: John H. Dale, Cornelius Dale, Mary Jane Rittenhouse, Jacob H. Dale, George W. Dale, Andrew J. Dale, Hiram Uriah Dale, Nancy Maria Dale & James Rufus Dale. Does anyone have information on a Ross HIBBARD family in Crawford Co., KS (Girard City) during the early 1900's? Ross (b. 1890) married Luella CLARK (b. 1885) and had children Gracie (b. 1914) and Ross Jr. (b. 1918). Luella was the daughter of James and Clara CLARK, also of Girard City. .

Would like to correspond with anyone who is related to my ancestor, George W. James, who settled in 1859 near Arcadia,Crawford county, KS. He died there in 1864. First wife was Elizabeth West. His second wife was Martha Whoberry. She married to William Hembree in the 1860s and in 1872, she married Miles Wooster. She died in 1879 near Arcadia. George James was b. 1812 in Bedford co, VA. BRUCE, Samuel, b. 29 July 1822, Ohio; d. 1888, Linn co., KS. Married to Mary Ann LITZINGER, b. 2 Feb. 1816, PA; d. 1890 Crawford co., KS. They were married; 23 July 1843, Fountain county, IN. The parents of Samuel are Joshua and Margaret (maiden name unknown). Joshua dies in Fountain county, IN in 1838 and the last recording of Margaret in Indiana is the 1850 Fountain county census.
