NICHOLSON/NICHELSON

Ellen April 23, 2004
Baby boy born March 15, 1930 in Dodge City, Kansas and adopted.  His adopted name was Vernie Ray NICHOLSON/NICHELSON.  We are searching for any information on his birth parents or birth relatives.  He passed away in 1969 but his son would like any information on who his father's family was.  Now that he is dead there is no hope of getting a before adoption birth certificate from Kansas.  All we know is that when he was born the people who adopted him picked him up from the hospital in Dodge City, Kansas.  Let me add this... his adoptive parents name him Vernie Ray NICHOLSON and then at some point they changed the spelling of their last name to NICHELSON. Thanks

WILSON

Gary Wilson August 24, 2004
I just discovered your web page on Ford County and I wonder if I might take a minute of your time?
My name is Gary WILSON and I'm searching for information on my grandfather, Arthur Leroy WILSON, who was born in Dodge City on September 28, 1889. He went by Roy L. WILSON most of his life.
His father was named Calvin (not sure of the spelling) and his mother was Emma Roberts.  I have no information about them.
He had at least one brother, Fred, and a sister named Ella.
I know that he and my grandmother were married on February 22, 1913 in Smith Center, Kansas.
Thank you very much for considering this query.
