He married Mary Margaret NEAL, 16 April 1894 in Council Grove, KS. Walter and Mary had the following children; William Henley, Harry Henderson, James Marvin, Earl Phillip, Edith Viola, Ethel Clara, Gladys Ida. Heman PAGE and his brother Freeman PAGE, moved from IL, abt. 1860, to Council Grove, Morris Co., KS. Freeman entered the Civil War in 1861 or 62. Heman PAGE and his wife Rachel HODGSON had 8 children, 4 which lived to adulthood, all 8 were born in Morris County. The 4 children are; Frank, b: 6 Mar 1862, Edward, b: 30 Nov 1867, Mary, b: 31 Jan 1869, and Etta May, b: May 1871. I would appreciate any information to add to what I already have. The family left Kansas about 1889 to make the 1889 'land run' in Oklahoma. Some children remained in Kansas. VAN FOSSEN Treva Van Fossen (javetta@aol.com) 10 August 1998 Searching for info regarding the parents and siblings of the late Raymond A. VAN FOSSEN, b: 2 February 1900, d: July 1981. Raymond VAN FOSSEN raised his children in the Morris Co. area, mainly in Council Grove. I do not know his father's name, but I know that he was a saw mill operator until he became a pastor at the age of 86. The VAN FOSSEN family came from Germany as Protestant Quakers. Most settled in the Pittsburg, PA area, but many left for Ohio and other states circa 1810. I know that my Grandfather has relatives in Ohio and PA, but I really need my Great-Grandfather's name to establish a connection to earlier ancestors in those states. I have found a Sarah CUNNINGHAM listed in the list of Pensioners Living in Kansas, Jan., 1, 1883. She was listed as a widow in Morris County, P.O. Camden. Don't know if this is my Sarah. My Sarah's maiden name was DAVIS, came from Maine with her father Charles DAVIS and his sons, Charles, Joseph, Levi and Enoch, and her sister, Rhoda (MORRIS) to Olive Township, Noble County, Ohio in 1812. Don't know why she came to Kansas--perhaps to live with sister, Rhoda MORRIS? Or with son, CUNNINGHAM or with daughter?
