Obituary of WILLIAM MING NICOLL
Mr. Wm. Ming Nicoll died at his home in this city last Friday after several weeks of illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the house, Rev. Fonken conducting the services. Mr. Nicoll was born in Patterson, New Jersey, July 14th, 1814, and moved to Larned in 1878, first living in the county, but had for many years prior to his death lived in this city. His wife died in 1894. He leaves five children living; two in Larned, one in Perry, Oklahoma; one in Baltimore, and one in California. Mr. Nicoll was one of the oldest settlers in Larned and was one of the most respected Christian gentlemen in our midst. He always took an active interest in church work, and has served as an active elder in the Presbyterian church for over fifty years.
