William S. Clark was an early settler coming to Kansas in 1884.  For some time before his death his health had  been failing and at last, surrounded by his children, the call came.

The service was given by Rev. Edwin S. Evans, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in the the home.

Our friend Clark, was one of our old settlers.  And he lived to a good age.  He was widely known and respected as a friend and neighbor.  His children and grandchildren may justly cherish the memory of a fond and faithful father, while we all feel that in him, we have lost a valued friend and worthy citizen.
