Darleene Humiston, 74, formerly of 833 East B, died Feb. 26, 1992, at the Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colo. She was born July 22, 1917, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Gerald and Erma Elliott Wray. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, moving to Colorado in 1991, she was a homemaker. On Aug. 2, 1942, she married W. Howard “Hod” Humiston at Hutchinson, former Hutchinson mayor and city commissioner. He died Dec. 28, 1987. Survivors include: a daughter, Dixie Long, Denver; and two grandsons. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Louis L. Dale presiding. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
