George Kershner
George Kershner, 84, of 114 East 11th, died
Saturday morning in his home after an illness of 18 months. Born Oct. 7,
1881, in Yellow Springs, Ohio, he married Edith Butler Feb. 26, 1901, in
Yellow Springs. After moving to Hutchinson in 1907, he worked 40 years for
the Carey Salt Co. as a master machinist until his retirement in 1953. His
first wife died Jan. 14, 1959, and he married Mina Hall in Hutchinson on
March 1, 1961.
Member: First Christian Church, IOOF and Rebecca
Lodge, all of Hutchinson.
Survivors: The widow; daughter, Mrs. Marie Davie,
North Ridge, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
