Mrs. John R. Webster

M. Fae Webster, 71, 310 East F. died Sunday at Hutchinson Hospital after a brief illness.  Born M. Fae Randles Jan. 10, 1910, at Hutchinson, she was married to John R. Webster, Sept. 1, 1928, at Hutchinson.  He died Dec. 24, 1972.

She was a member of the Mitchell United Methodist Church and lived in Hutchinson all her life.

Survivors: son, Gary, Pullman, Wash., four grandchildren.  Another son, Kale, died Saturday in an airplane crash at San Angelo, Texas.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Elliott Chapel; the Rev. Harmon Lackey.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Chapel.

 

Family Suffers Double Tragedy

Raymond Webster, 50 of Odessa, Texas was killed in a plane crash Saturday near San Angelo in South Central Texas. According to witnesses his plane was engaged in a dogfight, when the plane went into a tailspin. He was flying a refurbished Navy T/6. He was in a competition at the San Angelo Air Show. He was a Lt. in the U.S. Marines, a Colonel in the Confederate Air Force, and Wing Leader of the West Texas Section of the Texas Cadet Air Force. He was buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, Texas.

Raymond's mother passed away of heart failure after hearing that her son had been killed.
