WILSON, TOUSLEY, FERRIS, CURRIE: John WILSON m Lucy Elizabeth TOUSLEY 23 Apr 1878 in Noble Co IN.  Lucy was b 1 Mar 1854 in Noble Co IN d 30 Mar 1938 in Shelby OH but buried in Sterling KS, supposedly with husband John - I have her obit. They had at least 4 children: Blanche b 1879 & m Ellsworth FERRIS of Shelby OH, Emma, Clyde, and Charles W. Lucy grew up near Swan IN and in 1887 she & John moved to Neodosha, In 1902 she/they moved to Sterling and lived on a farm of Dr W.E.CURRIE in the South Ashland District.  In 1911 she moved to CO (I don't know if John was dead yet) and then she lived in Mt Grove MO from 1920-1936 at which time she moved in with daug Blanche FERRIS in Shelby OH where she died.  The body was shipped back to Sterling KS for burial. I'm not sure if John is buried in Sterling (prob), Neodosha (poss), or Colorado (questionable).  I have no idea about their children. Terry Wilson, 40 S. EATON:Claude Eaton resided and worked in Sterling between about 1890 to about 1930. His wife's name was Kathryn (nee Finch?). She lived in Sterling after Claudes death until at least 1935. They are relatives of my father, Dolph Lloyd Smith, and I should appreciate information that will help me link them to other family members. I believe that Claude Eaton may have been active in the telephone business and may have run an automobile delaership in Sterling.

STEVENS, DAVIS:Chester STEVENS, his wife Ellen MADDEN (widow WHITTERS) STEVENS and their 7 children & 1 stepson  lived n Raymond Twp. when the 1880 census was taken on June 8.  They lived in Dwelling #70. In Dwelling #69 lived John G. DAVIS, his wife Susan BRADLEY DAVIS, and their adult children Joseph Clinton DAVIS and Laura DAVIS.  QUESTION:  John (Grandison?) DAVIS died in 1882 and is buried in Hilltop Cemetery.  Did he leave a will or did he die intestate?
Next, there is a marriage between Nellie Stevens and Joseph Clinton Davis in Barton County on 28 August 1884, which has been recorded at the county Courthouse.  However, the marriage was short lived, not only from family recollection but also from what shows on the 1885 Kansas State Census:  Nellie Davis is back living with her parents and Joseph C. Davis is gone!  QUESTION: Is there a divorce on record in either Barton County or Rice County?
Nellie Davis had a baby on May 24, 1885, and sometime after that she married a railroad engineer by the name of James EUNGARD.  QUESTION:  Did the railroad go through Raymond and is there a marriage there between Eungard and Nellie Davis?  James raised baby Jessie as his own daughter, although apparently contact was kept with Joseph C. Davis thru the years.  Jessie was my grandma, and I heard these stories all the time I was growing up.
What I have learned so far has been pretty close to the truth.  Would like help filling in the blanks or will share information with anyone related to this family.  Thanks for all help. Bobby Dobbins Title in Southern California

KLEILE: Fredrick Kleile was born in Germany, the son of Christian Gotlieb Kleile and Katherine Lutz Kleile.  He married Fredricka Welk and died in Raymond, Rice Co., Kansas, but I don't know the date.  Their children were: Emilie, who married John Linke; Carl, who married Ruth Daggy; Louise; Marie, who married Brad Linville; and Bertha.  I have very sketchy info and would like to be sure of what I am putting into the Kleile geneology.  Fredrick had a sister, Elisabeth Kleile, who married Charles Webber and died in Kansas but I don't know where.  Also a sister Katherine, who married Michael Mezger, who also died somewhere in Kansas.  My mother-in-law was the daughter of Ernest Kleile, a brother to Fredrick Kleile.  Any connection I can find will be appreciated. I have a picture of a young girl who was a cousin. No name is on the picture, but the picture was taken in Dickerson, KS and the studio was W W Dunlap.  I would like to give this picture to someone in the family. Marge Harris, 4/13/98
