Lansing, Kan. ---

Floyd A. Berger, 35, serving a life sentence for kidnapping and first degree robbery, died Saturday night at the Kansas Penitentiary.

Warden Tracy Hand, in announcing the death Monday, said it was due to natural causes.

Berger, who was convicted in Sumner County and began his sentence May 1958, escaped from the prison the following December. He was caught in Arizona and returned here in January, 1959.

Warden Hand said Berger had relatives at Hutchinson, but his body had not been claimed.
