I am looking for Diane Berry whom posted a note about Laughlin/Rice. My gg grandfather was J. E. Laughlin. But I have his name as James Edwin Laughlin, he married Pheadora (Dora) Colista Rice. Their kids were Belva, my g grandmother, Edgar, Charlie and Maude. All of this came from my Grandmother and her sisters. He then remarried. I am not sure if any of these kids were J.E. but the kids of second wife were Ollie, Sarah, Alta. Maude married Britt Stokes, Edgar married Viola and lived in Baker, Oregon. I also traced J.E. to Illinois and his mother was Cathern Laughlin from Ireland. Am not sure of this though and all birth records were destroyed in a fire in 1871. I do know that they all came from Illinois.
If you have anything would like to see it as I am stumped about where to go. But am excited to see someone else looking also.
