My Grandfather was born 1926. When adopted his name was changed to
~MACK DUDLEY RINEHART~
(The Dudley was after his adopted Grandfather Dudley Van Valkenburg who can be found in volume 2 of the Van Valkenburg books along with Mack's adoptive mother below)
Do you see any connections below??
Mack Dudley Rinehart born 08-30-1926 Topeka, Kansas. Adopted in Topeka, Kansas, by Melvin F. Rinehart and his wife, Vesta M. (Van Valkenburg) Rinehart in the year 1927. (again note Vesta is in vol 2 of the Van Valkenburg books)
Mack; Died in Los Angeles County, California June 20,1966. Birth name was Jack Dean Keesling. Birth Parents were
Georgia Keesling(16yrsold)
and Arthur McReynolds(19yrsold).
They were both from Fredonia, Kansas. Georgia had the baby at an unwed mother's home.
Also NOTE here that my Aunt, Dghtr of Mack, found Arthur's children over 10 yrs ago(in OK,NE,KS one of these states) who said he'd left the family and moved to California. They only Arthur I found in the Social Security index is very close to the age our Arthur could have been. Sad thing is he was living one town away from my Grandfather and they never met.
Mack married Dorothy J. DeGroodt
children:
living female
living female
Additional info: He was baptised in The Atonement Church Chicago, IL 10-07-1928, it was witnessed by his Adoptive Uncle Frank Van Valkenburg and family friends(We believe) Jim H. Ronan and Maxine Ronan.

Looking for members of the Lockard family. I am the great-grandson
of Sanford W. & Martha(Lockard)McCartney, who were married in Fall
River, Wilson Co., Kansas in December 1982.My grandfather, Edgar L.
McCartney, was the youngest of their 4 children (Annie,Minnie, &
Bert). They moved to El Moro, Las Animas Co., Colorado.
The Lockard family were Fall River natives.
My great-great-grandparents (Marth's fr. & mother)were Hugh &
Anna(Hook)Lockard. It is believed that they had 10 children.
