Grebe had also established a general store in his home in 1870 and was the first store and post office in Perry township. He was postmaster at Centre Ridge until taken over by Joshua Blakeley, 12 May 1875. Grebe again was postmaster on 12 February 1877, and kept it until 29 January 1891, when Angela Tuttle became postmaster. He was postmaster until he resigned on 20 December 1894, and the name was changed to Ridge. The name Centre was changed to Center during the postmastership of Tuttle.
