Webster. (Across the road from the present Dick Pringle ranch) On 24 August 1900, Davis established a postoffice in his home, giving it the name of Conger. About two years later, Davis sold out and left. The postoffice was then taken to the home of Jesse Mullinex, who kept a small store in his home about two miles west of the Mount Pleasant school. Mullinex kept the postoffice until it was discontinued 31 October 1904. At that time mail was brought from Yates Center twice a week, by Wm. Thoroughman.
