“Arlene Ewing

1953-2002

Funeral services for Arlene Ewing, 49, Richmond, KS, were Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 10:00

a.m. at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, KS, with Rev. Steve Van Ostran officiating. 

Committal services were held at 1:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Mildred, KS.  Mrs. Ewing died

Saturday, October 12, 2002, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS.

Arlene Ewing was born October 12, 1953, at Garnett, KS, the daughter of Alvin and Dora (Beah)

Beechy.  She was a lifelong Garnett resident and had been employed as a Certified Medical

Assistant at several Garnett nursing homes.  Arlene was a member of The Jehovah’s Witness

Church of Garnett.

Arlene and Dennis Ewing were married July 29, 1993, at Garnett.

Mrs. Ewing was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Beechy.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Dennis Ewing, Ottawa, KS; her mother, Dora Beechy,

Garnett; her sisters, Le Ann DeVoe, Iola, KS, Charlotte Miller, South Carolina, Viola, North

Carolina, and Martha Beechy, Topeka, KS; her brothers, Elmer Beechy and Ralph Beechy, both

of Garnett; and several nieces and nephews.

Dengel and Son Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.”
