I'm looking for any information anyone may have on my ancestors in Anderson County. The earliest one I know of was Melvin (unk.middle name) Adams, who farmed in the Kincaid area. I believed he died between 1942_43. His son was George Clair Adams DOB 1890's who married Anna Marie Smith. George died 65 and Marie in 1974. Their children were Marjorie, Donald, and Stanley W. Adams, my father. My Aunt still lives in Cherokee I think, and my Dad died in 1992. I'm looking to trace our branch of Adams' as far back as I can. I always heard we were relatives of the John Adams'. One of my Dad's cousins, I believe, was John Quincy Adams who lived in Kincaid, but we all knew him as JQ. Anyone with info I'd appreciate it greatly. I'm my fathers namesake and live in Alaska now. Thanks, Stan Adams, Jr.
