Am researching my Daughter-in-laws lines, all in Anderson Co., Kansas. JANE R. MCMILLAN (maiden name SPRIGGS?) b. Ind., c1839, md. _____McMillan, had ch: WILLIAM MCMILLAN, b. c1862, Illinois, JAMES MCMILLAN, b. 1864, Warren Co., Illinois, and ANNA BELLE MCMILLAN, b. c1867, Illinois. This family, including the father but he died along the way, left Illinois and went to Anderson Co., Kansas, Lincoln Township. In 1868, Jane re-married JOSEPH BOCKOVER in Anderson Co. JAMES MCMILLAN changed his name to JAMES HOGUE around 1884. Some say it was in order to inherit land from a Mr. Hogue, others say it was to carry on the Hogue name for this childless man. We've gather quite a bit of Anderson Co. data in our search and will be happy to share it. JAMES MCMILLAN HOGUE md. SOPHIA AMELIA BLUM--she was daughter of JACOB BLUM.
