James S. King came to Anderson County around 1870 from Ripley County, Indiana, where he was born in 1831. I believe he was born James Stoneking and dropped the Stone portion of his name. He was married three times: 1) Marguerite Lamb 2) Lida Tull 3) Mrs. Rose Cook. I would like to correspond with others researching this family.
