Mrs. Lovina Eleanor Lollar, a resident of Leavenworth county for 50 years died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday Feb. 23, 1952 at her home southeast of Potter. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Lollar was born Feb. 18, 1863 on the farm of her parents, George and Mary Cline Blodgett at Curlew, Kansas. She was married in 1882 to Levi B. Lollar.
In 1901 Mr. and Mrs. Lollar moved to their home in Leavenworth county. Mrs. Lollar had a wide acquaintance of friends and retained her interest in community affairs. Her hobby was raising flowers. She had been ill one month.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Gwartney, and a son, Clyde F. Lollar, both of the home; four grandchildren, Mrs. Roy E. Hall, Kansas City, MO.,Mrs. Mabel Hilligoss, Miami Beach, Florida, Edward and Earl Gwartney, of the home; One great grandson, Robert Gwartney.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died April 17, 1924, two sons, Clifford and Reuben; and by two grandchildren, Helen Lollar and Arnold Gwartney. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Levi Ellerman, Nortonville; and two brothers, Fred Blodgett, Topeka and Luther Blodgett, Atchison.
Burial will be in DSpring Hill cemetery at Curlew.
