Loris E. Peuker Sr., 62, Denton, died Sunday at Heartland East Hospital, St. Joseph.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Becker-Stanton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Wathena.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Society.
Mr. Peuker was born July 28, 1925, in Wathena, the son of August J. and Edith B. Jensen Peuker. He attended star Grade School.
He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart.
He was a member of the Upper Wolf Lutheran Church of Robinson. He enjoyed raising cattle.
Mr. Peuker married Ethel L. Burgess on Sept.26, 1969, in Falls City, Neb. She survives of the home. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one step-grandchild. Additional survivors include two sons, Loris E. Peuker Jr. and Donald R. Peuker of the home; one stepson, James John Armstrong Jr., St. Joseph; six step-daughters, Cindy Armstrong, Dora Proffit, Sharon Grippando, Janet Loucks, and Tammy Mosier, St. Joseph, and Caroline Doddema, Minlo, Iowa; and 13 step-grandchildren.
