Ester May Carter, 87, of Livingston, Montana, died at her home Saturday morning, February 9, 2008. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. A celebration of her life was held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Main and Summit, in Livingston with Pastor Pete Hofer officiating. Funeral is Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Baptist Church, Sun City, KS, with Rev. Jeff Woods presiding. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City, Kansas.

Ester was born May 30, 1920 to Stanley and Myrtle (Whitaker) Garten in Sun City, Kansas. On July 19, 1941, she married Clarence "Hoss" Leroy Carter in Thanks to Kevin Noland, publisher of The Gyp Hill Premiere, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, for permission to republish the above obituary from his newspaper.
