CAR WRECKED

An almost miraculous escape from death was the fortunate occurrence for two Sun City young men. Paul Redwine and Iverson Keller, when they wrecked the Redwine car on the river bridge on HIghway K-8 about two mile south of Medicine Lodge last Saturday evening. The car was traveling south and, according to officers who investigating the wreck, missed the slight turn going onto the bridge and struck the left hand railing with such force that four upright posts, holding the two by six rail, were torn away by the impact, and the car went over the side of the bridge and landed on its top in the river. A portion of the two by six railing was driven through the steering wheel and just missed. Mr. Redwine who was driving. The car was almost a complete wreck. Neither young man was seriously injured, but how they escaped is indeed a mystery.
