A B. Davenport died on Thursday, October 16, 1902, at _ o'clock a.m. Mr. Davenport was afflicted with dropsy for more than a year and for several months he has been in a serious condition. He had been in Wichita and other places but only got temporary relief.Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Friday forenoon, conducted by Rev. J. J. Griffin.
Mr. Davenport was 66 years, 11 months and 5 days of age. He was a good citizen and was highly honored by a wide acquaintanceship.
The Masonic and G. A. R. lodges of which the deceased was an honored member, attended the funeral in a body.
