Allan C. Edwards was born at Paola, Kan., July 17, 1866. He departed this life at Medicine Lodge, April 12, 1946, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, 26 days.With his parents he came to this section of the state while just a child, living the major part of his life in Barber county.
In 1888 he was united in marriage to Mary Francis Byers of Pratt, kansas. To this union were born six sons and four daughters.
His wife, together with five of the children, Bert and Payton, have preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Wells, Pratt, Kansas, Mrs., Mattie Jordon, Wichita Kansas; three sons, Earl and Will, of Medicine Lodge and Everett of Richmond, California; one brother, Harry, of Hutchinson, Kansas; also several grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Forsyth Funeral Home, April 14, at 3 p.m., clergyman, Rev. T. J. Willard. Burial was in Highland cemetery.
