C.A. 'Buster' Hathaway, 77, died March 8, 1996, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.He was born March 1, 1919, at Yuma, Colorado, the son of Charles A. and Dora Belle (West) Hathaway.
A resident of Sun City for more than 50 years, he was owner and operator of Buster and Alma's Tavern at Sun City.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Pratt Elks Lodge and a life member of the VFW at Medicine Lodge.
On July 4, 1941, he married Alma Ward at Coldwater. She died July 5, 1991.
Survivors include: a son, Steve, Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Almeta Tanner, Yuma, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Helen Axtell, Pratt; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 1996, at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt, with the Rev. Jeff Woods presiding. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sun City.
Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice in care of the mortuary.
