Claire McBride Kotapish

Claire McBride Kotapish, 87, passed away peacefully on November 15th at the Kansas Masonic Home. Claire previously lived in Waterville and Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

She graduated from Waterville High School in 1937. She moved to Medicine Lodge in 1950 after marrying Clarence Voss and was employed as a legal secretary for Ralph Hall. She and Clarence moved to Wichita in 1967 and she was employed by Martin and Churchill law firm.

She is survived by her children, Billie Lott of Seattle, WA, Phil Voss of Wichita and Jeannie Pike of Overland Park; stepchildren Gary and Jackie Barnes, Troy and Maxine Barnes, all of Wichita and stepdaughters Kay Iles and Amy and Charlie Harvey all of Overland Park; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Claire chose to have her remains donated to the KU Medical Center for research. She will be buried in the Waterville cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Cochran Mortuary & Crematory, 1411 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
