The funeral of David Lunsford, who died in Wichita on August 17th, was held at Amber school house on Monday afternoon, Rev. Stauffer officiating. The school house was crowded, a silent tribute to the esteem in which the deceased was held.Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
David Lunsford was born in Crawford county, Missouri, February 16, 1849. Died in Wichita, August 17, 1919 at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 1 day. He grew to manhood under the guidance of christian parents, and lived up to these teachings all of his useful and unselfish life.
He was married to Miss Matilda Riggin, February 16, 1871. To this union nine children were born, four boys and five girls, all of whom are living except one son who died in 1905.
Mrs. Lunsford passed away in March 1918. The deceased gentleman is the father of C. E. Lunsford of this city.
