The sudden death this morning at 4 o'clock of Ed Harrington was a shock to our people. He had been sick with a stomach and bowel trouble since last Sunday.Mr. Harrington has been a resident here for a dozen years or more. He with his brother-in-law resided 8 miles north of Kenton just over the line in Colorado. The burial was in the Kenton cemetery this afternoon.
The funeral was largely attended showing the high respect in which the deceased was held. Rev. Freeman preached a short sermon at the house. Ed Harrington was 45 years old and came west 18 or 19 years ago from Green[e], New York, where his father still resides, and where the remains will be taken later on.
He leaves a wife, two litle boys and a sister, Mrs. Cornish, as his nearest relatives here to mourn his departure. Mr. Harrington stood high in the community and his unexpected taking off serves to warn us that we known not the hour when we shall be called to go. The afflicted relatives have the sympathy of the whole community."
