Ed Taliaferro, well known in this city, died suddenly at Anthony where he was employed as a barber on Monday of this week.Funeral services were conducted at 4:30 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon of this week from the Forsyth Funeral home, with R. C. Scott, pastor of the local Christian church in charge. Burial was in Highland cemetery.
Ed grew to manhood in Medicine Lodge and had lived most of his life here. He served during the World War in the regular army, having enlisted in July, 1917. He saw action in various battles in France, and was discharged from the service in July 1919.
Edward P. Taliaferro was born April 15, 1890, at Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and died June 21, 1937, at Anthony, Kansas, aged 47 years, 2 months and 6 days. He leaves to mourn his departure, one daughter, Edna, and his father, R. J. Taliaferro, who is very ill at this time.

Hazel Baldwin Taliaferro was born September 29, 1894, at Augusta, Kansas. She departed this life at Larned, Kansas, March 3rd, 1936, at the age of 41 years, 5 months and 13 days.
She was united in marriage to Ed Taliaferro at Augusta, Kansas, Jan. 12, 1920. To this union one child was born.
She unified with the Baptist church in early childhood.
In departing this life she leaves her husband Ed Taliaferro, one daughter Edna Taliaferro, now living in Newton, Kansas, two children by a former marriage, her father John Baldwin, one sister and two brothers of Wichita, Kansas. Also a large number of nephews and nieces as well as a large number of friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was made in Highland cemetery.
