Death of Frank Feltner

On Tuesday evening of last week the friends of Frank Feltner received the sad news of his death. He resided on the Yellowstone in Oklahoma, about eight miles south of Aetna. Death resulted from blood poisoning brought on by a wheat beard lodged in his throat.

Funeral services were held at the family residence on Wednesday.

Mr. Feltner was a brother of Mrs. Matthews of this city and had many friends in Barber county, having formerly resided here. All regret his untimely death.

The following lines were contributed by a friend:

J. F. Feltner, son of Arch and Mary A. Feltner, was born in Cumberland county, Illinois, May 16, 1860. In 1877 he moved with his parents to Barber county, Kansas and in 1883 was united in marriage with Miss Berthenia Brench. Three children were born to the union - Mrs. Hattie Terbush, Archie Feltner and Jennie Feltner who mourn the death of a beloved father. The mother died some years ago. The deceased's parents also survive him.

Mr. Feltner was converted in May 1903 and united with the M. E. Church at Yellowstone, Ok., and lived a model christian life. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. H. Crouch.

One brother and three sisters survive him. Of these only one was able to attend the funeral - Mrs. Julia Matthews, his twin sister, who attended him in sickness. One sister resides at Cleo, Ok., and a brother and sister reside in Cumberland county, Illinois. None of these were able to attend the funeral on account of the suddenness of death and the distance.
