Marie Wiscaver, 91, died November 7, 2007 at Wellsville, Kansas. She was born June 14, 1916 in Barber County, the daughter of Earl B. and Stella (Shanks) Vaughn.She attended school in Medicine Lodge from the first grade until the end of her 1st semester of her senior year, when her family moved to Wichita, where she attended North High School and later graduated from Bonnie Beauty Academy in Wichita. She was a hairdresser at Marie’s Beauty Shop in Medicine Lodge for over 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and the First Christian Church in Grove, OK.
In September, 1935, she married Everett Reeves. To this union two children were born, Randall D. Reeves and Russell B. Reeves. On June 23, 1946, she married Clay Kennedy. They made their home in Medicine Lodge until his death in 1969. In 1970 she married Edgar C. Wiscaver. They made their home in Mesa, AZ, and Grove, OK, until his death in 1982.
Survivors include 6 grandsons Russell, Michael, Mark, Spencer, Randall, and Jesse, and a granddaughter Lacy Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 husbands; two sons Randall and Russell Reeves. Two sisters Ruth Vance, and Velma Bates, and a brother Randall Vaughn.
Graveside Service was held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge with Pastor Matt Wilkerson officiating.
