Pete "Pat" H. Harbaugh

Pete "Pat" H. Harbaugh, 86, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. He was born March 17, 1921 in rural Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of John and Mayme (Wilson) Harbaugh. A lifetime resident of Medicine Lodge, he was a farmer and a rancher. He graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1938.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Pratt, a lifetime member of the American Trapshooting Association, was Trustee for Nippawalla Township for 50 years, and won many soil conservation awards.

On Aug. 8, 1943 he married Vivian Holder in her parents’ rural home at Norwich, KS. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter Cheri Lee Keefer and her husband Robert Charles of Honolulu, HI; two sisters Pauline McClary, Los Angeles, CA; and Louise Kirkbride, Arlington, VA: a half sister Linda Stark, Wichita; two half brothers Benny Harbaugh, Newcastle, OK; and Johnny Harbaugh, Show Low, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service was Saturday, February 23, 2008 at United Methodist Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Frank DeFisher and Dr. Dean Stucky Presiding.

Cremation took place.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in care of Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge.
