Rena J. Winters, 66, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 in Comanche County, Kansas. She was born July 03, 1941 in Lamesa, Texas the daughter of Roy and Viola Hall. A resident of Medicine Lodge for 4 years, moving from Tucson, Arizona.On Feb. 22, 1958 she married Sam Winters at Portland, Oregon, he survives.
Other survivors include three daughters Cindy Winter, Ava Winters-Bayless, and Gwen Lindsey all of Dallas, TX, two grandchildren, Kelly Spiker and Joseph Dean, and two great grandchildren Hunter and Riliegh Dean.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Ramona Johnson, and a brother Ronnie Harrison.
Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday May 18, 2008 at Larrison Funeral Home, Medicine Lodge with Pastor Tom Walters presiding. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be sent to the Arthritis Foundation in care of the funeral home.

Medicine Lodge woman killed in rollover accident in Comanche Co.
A Medicine Lodge woman was killed when her 2000 Ford Pickup overturned and caught fire in Comanche County on May 15, 2008.The driver, Rena J. Winters, 66, of Medicine Lodge was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Winters was not wearing a safety restraint.
Winters' vehicle was westbound on US 160 on Thursday morning shortly after 6 a.m.. Her vehicle left the road and crossed US 183 and came to rest on the west side of US 183 facing north. The crash occurred about one half mile north of Coldwater.
Winters had been a resident of Medicine Lodge for 4 years and is survived by her husband, three daughters and two grandchildren.
Services were held on Sunday May 18th at Larrison Funeral Home in Medicine Lodge.
